Hi, I'm Trish aka Black Dog

My owner Will has taken such good care of me over the years that I wanted to do something special for him. So I personally selected many different handcrafted treats for Will to enjoy. He liked them so much that I decided everyone should have an opportunity to try them. And that is how Black Dog Sweet Shop got started.
I have been involved in the hospitality industry for the past twenty years. Even though I have held other jobs, I always seem to find my self back in the business that I love. I enjoy making people feel welcome and love the opportunity to exceed their expectations.
Most recently I spent three years at a well-known cafe as their Culinary Manager. They are famous here in Atlanta for their cakes and cheesecakes. Previously I have managed several restaurants in the Atlanta area and I spent nine years working at Ray's Killer Creek in Alpharetta.
With an extensive background in catering and event planning, I decided to combine my restaurant and retail experience to open Black Dog Sweet Shop. In order to keep prices down for my clients, I chose not to open a retail location.
Quality is very important to me. Black Dog Sweet Shop was founded on the goal of creating products that taste like my mother and grandmother just pulled them fresh from the oven. (My mom was a home economics teacher for twenty years and she taught lots of students how to cook.) My grandmother was amazing in the kitchen and all of our baked goods exceed their standards. We bake ten-inch cakes and twelve-inch pies while most of our competitors bake nine-inch products and charge the same prices we do.

Our brownies and cookies are something you don't want to miss. Each item is made from recipes passed down for generations. I take chocolate chip cookies seriously and we balance the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy to create a chocolate chip cookie that will blow you away.

Our French chefs make macarons that are to die for and we have chocolate artisans that create flavor combinations using only the finest Swiss Chocolate.

One of our specialties is chocolate-dipped macarons that are personalized for your business or event. From corporate logos, wedding favors and gender reveals, we can create something special that your guests and clients will remember.
